A good qualifying session in Hungary
Jean-Eric Vergne did his best with his car today in Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session. Admitted in Q2, the Frenchman from Toro Rosso finished 16th, in front of Michaël Schumacher
“I feel I got the most out of the car we have at the moment and don’t think I could have gone much quicker. We improved our performance in the dry conditions and got a bit closer to those guys ahead of us” analyzed Jean-Eric.
“It’s always hard to overtake here, but there are many factors to take into account at this track, including tyre degradation. As far as that is concerned, the long run we did this morning looked quite good. Plus, when you look at the way the gap between us and our rivals is always less in the race than on Saturday and, as we seem to have found a bit more performance here, I think we can expect to have a good race tomorrow.”
Hot or rain, the weather remains uncertain for the race on Sunday. The action will start at 2.00 pm.
